Liquidity Book Overview

Liquidity Book is the powerful AMM backbone of HyperBrick, delivering a refined and efficient way to trade tokens on-chain. By introducing a bin-based system, dynamic fees, and fully fungible liquidity positions, it redefines capital efficiency and LP engagement.

What Makes Liquidity Book Unique?

  • Zero Slippage Inside Bins Prices are divided into static bins, each with a constant-sum formula (x + y = k). When a trade occurs entirely within one bin, the price remains unchanged—ensuring a slippage-free swap.

  • Highly Concentrated Capital Liquidity is deployed only where it matters. Instead of spreading assets across broad ranges, LPs can allocate directly into specific price bins, creating curve-like concentration that optimizes capital use.

  • Dynamic Surge Pricing During periods of high volatility, additional fees (“surge pricing”) are applied to trades. This rewards LPs who bear extra risk and encourages deeper liquidity when the market is most active.

  • Fungible Liquidity Positions LP positions are issued as fungible tokens, not unique NFTs. This allows LPs to combine, split, trade, and integrate their positions seamlessly across DeFi ecosystems.

  • Fully Customizable Liquidity Layout Instead of uniform deployment like other AMMs, LPs on HyperBrick can design their liquidity shape—be it narrow, wide, asymmetrical, or even a single-bin edge case.

Protocol Foundations

  1. Bins Don’t Betray: Every bin represents a narrow price step. Trading within a bin locks in the price with no slippage. Moving into a different bin introduces only intended impact.

  2. Ownership of the Active Bin: Only liquidity in the current active bin earns fees. LPs must monitor price movement and rebalance their deployment to maintain active status.

  3. Surge Sensitivity: High-volume trades or rapid price changes trigger extra fees in active bins—paying out to responsive LPs and safeguarding deeper liquidity.

  4. Constant-Sum Inside, Constant-Behavior Outside: Each bin follows x + y = k. Together, adjacent bins form a staircase-like model, functioning in aggregate like a continuous AMM curve.

Why This Matters

  • For Traders: Experience tighter pricing, fewer slippage surprises, and more predictable execution—even with larger orders.

  • For LPs: Benefit from greater yield potential with less capital. Focus liquidity exactly where you want it and earn more with variable fee mechanics.

  • For Builders: Enjoy programmable, composable LP tokens that work seamlessly in vaults, derivatives, and external markets.
